History
Kuranaga Station opened on 1 October 1938 on the Nishi-Nippon Railroad (Nishitetsu) Tenjin Ōmuta Line in Ōmuta, Fukuoka. The station building was rebuilt on 10 November 1993. A simple IC ticket gate for IC fare cards was added on 16 May 2008, and station numbering (T46) was introduced on 1 February 2017. A centralised station management system was rolled out on 1 April 2021. Kuranaga consists of a single island platform serving two tracks at grade, with effective platform length of six cars, and is not served by limited express, express or Nライナー trains.
