History

Kamanohana Station opened on 1 September 1935 on the Shimabara Railway Line, 9.6 km from the line's origin at Isahaya. It became an agency-managed station on 1 March 1962, lost its freight handling on 31 March 1964, and was made unstaffed two months later on 1 May 1964. The single south-side side platform has no station building; a small waiting room beside the platform doubles as the entrance, and an uncovered bicycle parking area sits in front. The station is operated today by the third-sector Shimabara Railway.
