History
Gōshi Station is a Tobu Railway station on the Isesaki Line in Isesaki, Gunma, 110.0 km from the Asakusa terminus and numbered TI-23. It opened on 27 March 1910, when the section between Ōta and Shin-Isesaki was completed, and is named after the former village of Gōshi-mura. The station became unstaffed on 5 August 1980 under a simplified-agency arrangement that lasted until 31 March 2022. A new station building was brought into use in spring 2008, replacing the original 1910 structure, and houses a PASMO-compatible simplified gate, a boarding-receipt machine and toilets. The platform layout is a single island serving two tracks linked to the building by a footbridge.
