History
Tatara Station opened on 27 August 1907 as Nakano Station on what is now the Tōbu Isesaki Line, with the section between Kawamata and Ashikagachō newly inaugurated. The station was renamed Tatara Station on 1 March 1937. It lies in the Hinatachō district of Tatebayashi, Gunma Prefecture, 78.6 kilometres from the line's terminus at Asakusa. Station numbering as TI-11 was introduced across the Tōbu network on 17 March 2012. The station has two opposed ground-level side platforms linked to a footbridge, with a PASMO-compatible simple ticket gate; the ticket window is staffed between 6:00 and 21:00 but periodically left unattended within those hours.

Notes
From the 2006 timetable revision the station lost its daytime through-trains to Asakusa, downgraded to local-only service between Kuki, Tatebayashi, and Ōta during midday hours.
