History

Tsukinowa Station opened on 26 March 2002 in the town of Namegawa, Saitama, as an infill stop on Tobu Railway's Tojo Line between Shinrin-koen and Musashi-Ranzan. Construction began in November 2000, and the station name was confirmed in October 2001. The elevated facility carries two opposed side platforms reached by a footbridge concourse, and departure melodies were introduced on 20 January 2010. Station numbering TJ-31 was applied with the Tojo Line numbering rollout on 17 March 2012. Daily life in the surrounding area has been shaped by Tobu's neighbouring "Furansa" residential development and the gradual densification of homes and businesses around the station.

Notes

Until Minami-Yorii Station opened in October 2020, Tsukinowa was the newest stop on the Tojo Line, eighteen years after its own opening.
