History
Kasukabe Station opened on 27 August 1899 as Kasukabe (粕壁) on the Tōbu Railway, becoming a junction in November 1929 when the Hokusō Railway (later the Tōbu Noda Line) reached town. The kanji of the station name shifted to its present 春日部 form on 1 September 1949, mirroring the renaming of the surrounding town. Through running to the Hibiya Line began on 1 September 1966 and to the Hanzōmon Line on 19 March 2003, while Spacia limited expresses began stopping in 1999 and were extended to all such services in 2001. A continuous elevation project broke ground on 30 March 2021; temporary upbound platforms opened on 12 May 2024 and downbound on 5 October 2025.

Notes
Every platform at Kasukabe rings out "Ora wa Ninkimono", a theme song from Crayon Shin-chan, an anime set in Kasukabe — the city's tourist tie-in with the franchise has run since 2018.
