History
Tsudanuma Station is a junction passenger railway station in the city of Narashino, Chiba, operated by the East Japan Railway Company (JR East). It sits on the Sōbu Main Line at 26.7 km from the line's western terminus at Tokyo, served by both the rapid-service and local-service tracks. The station opened on 21 September 1895 under the original Sōbu Railway. It now consists of three island platforms serving six tracks, with an elevated station building and a Midori no Madoguchi staffed ticket office. The nearby Keisei Matsudo Line terminus, Shin-Tsudanuma Station, lies a short walk to the north and provides interchange with the private Keisei network.

Notes
Although named for Tsudanuma, the station actually lies in Narashino city; the place-name Tsudanuma refers to a district that straddles the boundary between Narashino and Funabashi cities.
