History
Setagaya-Daita Station opened on 1 April 1927 as Setagaya-Nakahara on the Odawara Express Railway (today's Odakyu Odawara Line). The wartime air raids of 1 July 1945 destroyed the station building and forced closure; service resumed on 15 June 1946 and the present name Setagaya-Daita was adopted on 20 August 1946. After the Odakyu continuous grade-separation and quadruple-tracking project, the station was relocated underground on 23 March 2013 in stages. The full layout — an island platform on basement level 2 for local trains, with express tracks passing through on basement level 3 — was completed on 3 March 2018, and a Chiyoda Line through-service stop was added on 17 March 2018.
