History

Chitose-Funabashi Station opened on 1 April 1927 with the Odakyū Odawara Line itself. It was added to direct-service trains bound for Katase-Enoshima in September 1937 and to semi-expresses in September 1948. Quadruple-tracking and elevation works completed in 2004 transformed the station into a four-track elevated structure with two side platforms; the down line was elevated on 28 October 2001 and the up line on 28 July 2002. Station number OH12 was introduced in January 2014. From the March 2018 revision, the station joined the new semi-express stops and gained Tokyo Metro Chiyoda Line through-services, and platform doors entered service on 19 June 2025.
