History
Odakyu Tama-Center Station opened on 23 April 1975 as the Odakyu Tama Line's extension reached the planned commercial centre of Tama New Town. The station, numbered OT 06, originally functioned as the line's terminus; although designed as a 2-island/4-track structure, the side tracks were never laid, and the station operated with 2 platforms and 2 tracks from opening. The further extension to Karakida arrived in 1990. Renovations ran from May 2005 to March 2006 adding an east exit, escalators and elevators. Through services to and from the Tokyo Metro Chiyoda Line returned on 15 March 2025 after a hiatus.

Notes
When the line opened, Keio and Odakyu deliberately prefixed their station names with the company name to prevent passengers from mistakenly boarding the wrong Shinjuku-bound line at this same physical location.
