History
Togoshi-Ginza Station opened on 28 August 1927 on what was then the Ikegami Electric Railway, when service was extended from Yukigaya (today's Yukigaya-Ōtsuka) toward the now-defunct Kirigaya. Around 1955 the level crossing inside the station was abolished and separate ticket gates were arranged by direction of travel. From September 2015 a comprehensive timber-themed refit was carried out under Tokyu's 'Ki ni naru Renewal' initiative, completed on 11 December 2016. From 1 April 2017 Tokyu and the Toei Asakusa Line's Togoshi Station accepted joint-route commuter passes through the Togoshi-Ginza shopping street.
