History
Kajigaya Station opened on 1 April 1966 on the Tōkyū Den-en-toshi Line. The provisional name granted under the 1960 operating licence was Kajigaya written with the older characters; the present spelling was confirmed by a board resolution in September 1965. Platform 4 entered service in 1970, platform 1 in August 1979, and one of two reversing sidings on the Miyazakidai side was decommissioned at that time. From 2005 work began on a Ōimachi Line depot adjacent to the station, completed on 24 March 2008. From 7 May 2007 platform 4 was repurposed as a passing-only track. On 5 October 2025 a revenue train collided with a stabled non-revenue train inside the station, in the incident known as the Tōkyū Den-en-toshi Line collision-and-derailment.
