History
Keikyū Tsurumi Station opened on 24 December 1905 as a temporary stop named Tsurumi on the Keihin Electric Railway, with the inauguration of the section between Kawasaki (today's Keikyū Kawasaki) and Kanagawa-Teishajō-mae. It was upgraded to a full station on 1 November 1925 and renamed Keihin Tsurumi to avoid confusion with the JGR Tsurumi Station. An upline passing track was completed when the line was elevated on 30 March 1981. The station was renamed to its present name Keikyū Tsurumi on 1 June 1987. Following the 31 July 1999 timetable revision that abolished express service between Keikyū Kamata and Shin-Zushi, the station became local-only until Airport Express service was added on 16 May 2010. Station numbering KK29 was introduced on 21 October 2010.
