History
Yodoe Station opened on 1 November 1902 with the government railway's extension between Mikuriya, Yonago and Sakai (now Sakaiminato), handling both passenger and freight traffic. It became part of the San'in Main Line when the railway naming was formalised on 12 October 1909. Freight service ended on 1 October 1962 and parcel handling on 14 March 1985. With the privatization of JNR on 1 April 1987 the station passed to JR West. Once a complex layout with combined side and island platforms over three tracks, the third track was removed during Tottori Prefecture's 2003 single-track straight-line upgrade. ICOCA service is scheduled to begin in spring 2027.
