History
Inuyamaguchi Station opened on 6 August 1912 as part of the Inuyama Line and served as the junction with the Hiromi Line from 24 April 1925 until 1 March 1946, when the Hiromi Line's start point was moved to Inuyama. The station was unstaffed on 16 November 1969. A station improvement project finished in January 2004 and reopened the building with new facilities; the Transpass ticketing system arrived in February of that year. Daily semi-express stops began with the 27 December 2008 timetable change. Manaca IC card service began on 11 February 2011, replacing Transpass on 29 February 2012.

Notes
Although the station is only one stop from Inuyama, downbound trains often air the Inuyama arrival announcement while passing through Inuyamaguchi because the distance between the two stations is so short.
