History

Kawanishi-Noseguchi Station opened on 8 April 1913 as Noseguchi Station, a stop on the Minoh Arima Electric Tramway (now Hankyu Corporation) in what is now Kawanishi, Hyōgo Prefecture. The Nose Electric Tramway opened its connecting line five days later, on 13 April 1913. The station was renamed Kawanishi-Noseguchi on 1 July 1965 at Kawanishi City's request. Hankyu's downbound tracks were elevated on 15 December 1990, the upbound tracks on 20 December 1992, and the Nose Electric tracks on 24 March 1996, producing the present three-level interchange. The Nissei Express direct service between Nose Electric's Nissei-Chūō and Osaka-umeda began on 16 November 1997.

Notes

Kawanishi-Noseguchi is the only junction between Hankyu and another operator where Hankyu, rather than the other company, manages the shared station — and the only such junction to which a Hankyu station number has been assigned.
