History
Odabuchi Station opened on 14 January 1934 as a stop on the Aichi Electric Railway in present-day Toyokawa, Aichi Prefecture. The Aichi Electric Railway merged with the Nagoya Railroad on 1 August 1935, after which the station became part of the Meitetsu Nagoya Main Line. Staffing was withdrawn on 16 February 1967 and the station has remained unattended ever since. Automated ticket machines and Manaca turnstiles were installed in December 2005 alongside the Transpass system; Manaca service began on 11 February 2011. The station has two elevated opposed side platforms, but they are short enough that only four-car trains fit; six-car services use door-cut operation to keep the rear doors closed.

Notes
The platforms are only long enough for four cars, so longer services pass through with their two rear doors kept closed under a door-cut arrangement.
