History
Uchide Station opened on 12 April 1905 with the Hanshin Electric Railway's main line, in Ashiya, Hyōgo Prefecture. The Great Hanshin earthquake of 17 January 1995 closed the station, with service in the Koshien - Aogi section resuming on 26 January and full Hanshin Main Line operation restored by 26 June 1995. An accessibility rebuild from July 2006 brought the ticket gates to street level, added elevators, and extended the platforms. Stopping pattern changes followed: Umeda-bound semi-expresses began calling on 28 October 2006, replaced by Section Limited Express service on 20 March 2009. Station number HS-19 was introduced on 1 April 2014. Uchide is the only Hanshin Main Line station that does not sit on a bridge.

Notes
Uchide is the only stop on the Hanshin Main Line that is a genuine ground-level station and not built atop a bridge over a watercourse.
