History
Kuise Station opened on 12 April 1905 with the rest of the Hanshin Main Line in what is now Amagasaki, Hyōgo. From June 1930 a connecting line ran from here to the Hanshin Kokudō (National Highway) Line at Kita-Kuise, although it never carried passenger traffic; the link was effectively suspended on 12 November 1967 when the Main Line voltage was raised from 600 V DC to 1,500 V DC, and was formally abolished on 6 May 1975 with the closure of the Kokudō Line itself. Grade separation between Himejima and Daimotsu was completed on 10 June 1978, putting Kuise on its present elevated structure, and station numbering HS-07 was introduced on 1 April 2014.

The elevator shaft at Kuise carries a 1.5 m × 0.7 m Hanshin Electric Railway company crest, oversized even by the operator's standards.
