History

Izumi-Ōmiya Station opened on 10 April 1937 between Haruki and Kishiwada on the Nankai Railway. Wartime consolidation transferred it to Kintetsu in June 1944, and a 1947 line transfer placed it with Nankai Electric Railway. Station numbering NK23 was introduced on 1 April 2012. The station retains an unusual configuration in which the two side platforms have independent fare gates and cannot be crossed inside the paid area, requiring passengers to exit and re-enter to change direction.

Notes

The two side platforms have entirely separate fare-gate areas, so changing direction requires exiting the station and re-entering on the other side.
