History

Hagurazaki Station opened on 1 February 1942 between Sano (today's Izumisano) and Yoshiminosato on the Nankai Railway, built to support personnel and equipment movements for the imperial army's Sano airfield. The 1944 wartime consolidation transferred it to Kintetsu, and a 1947 line transfer returned it to Nankai. Station numbering NK33 was introduced on 1 April 2012. Because Track 1 connects directly to the Hagurazaki rolling-stock depot and the other two tracks also access the yard via crossovers, many Namba-bound morning workings originate here.

Notes

Platform-edge weekday timetables show the latest Hagurazaki arrival at 24:59, the latest scheduled last-train arrival of any Nankai (and any Kansai private-railway) station.
