History
Ōdomari Station opened on 1 April 1956 as a station on the Kisei-Nishi Line during the extension from Kii-Kinomoto (now Kumanoshi) to Atashika. The line was renamed the Kisei Main Line on 15 July 1959 when the through route to Kameyama was completed. Freight handling other than dedicated-siding traffic ended in 1972, parcel handling in 1983, and the station was fully unstaffed from 1 November 1986 when the remaining freight services ceased. Operation passed to Central Japan Railway Company on 1 April 1987 at privatisation. The small prefabricated building from 1956 remains in use.
