History
Tsuko opened on 12 April 1924 in Tsuko, Ogōri City, on what is now Nishitetsu's Tenjin Ōmuta Line. The depot was rebuilt in 1961, and an entry-only west exit was added in 2000. nimoca contactless ticketing became available on 18 May 2008 and station numbering was introduced on 1 February 2017. Centralised station management took effect on 1 April 2022, though staff are still posted from 7:30 to 16:30 because so many elementary-school pupils use the station. Tsuko has two side platforms whose effective length is only five cars; trains of six cars or more keep their doors closed on the rearmost set. The station marks the point at which down trains enter the Chikugo region.

Notes
Tsuko's platforms accommodate only five cars, so any train of six or more must operate selective-door-opening on its rear coaches — an unusual arrangement on the Nishitetsu network.
