History

Ōho Station opened on 12 April 1924 as a station on the Kyushu Railway, in what is now Ogōri, Fukuoka. The operating company merged with the Kyushu Electric Tramway on 19 September 1942 and renamed itself Nishi-Nippon Railway three days later. A west entrance was opened in 1999, nimoca IC service began on 18 May 2008, station numbering was introduced on 1 February 2017, and a centralised station-management system began full operation on 1 April 2022, making the station unstaffed. Two opposed ground-level side platforms serve two tracks, linked across a level crossing inside the station footprint.
