History
Ureshino-Onsen Station opened on 23 September 2022 with the start of revenue service on the Nishi Kyushu Shinkansen, in the city of Ureshino, Saga. Construction of the elevated track had begun on 14 March 2014, with the station building's construction starting on 23 February 2019. The station name "Ureshino-Onsen" was formally chosen on 26 November 2020. The station consists of two side platforms serving two tracks; eastbound trains for Takeo-Onsen use platform 11 and westbound trains for Nagasaki use platform 12. As a non-major stop, roughly half of all Shinkansen services pass through without stopping. Its location is about 1.5 km from the Ureshino hot-spring district.
